Analytical serviceOff-Target Profiling
Off-target profiling investigates the interactions a molecule makes beyond its intended target: secondary binding, cross-reactivity with related receptors or proteins, and concentration-dependent loss of selectivity. A profile describes the targets that were examined — it does not describe every possible biological interaction.
Illustrative figure — the shape of the measurement, not a result.
Comparative activity, selectivity and cross-reactivity across defined target panels.
Methodology classes
- Biochemical binding panels across selected target families
- Cell-based selectivity assays for functional cross-reactivity
- Concentration-dependent selectivity windows
- Comparative profiling against reference compounds
Applicable sample categories
- Peptide candidates and analogues
- Lead and comparator molecules
- Related-target families defined with the client
- Formulated or modified variants
Measurable parameters
- Activity at each target in the panel
- Selectivity ratios between primary and secondary targets
- Cross-reactivity at defined concentrations
- Concentration-dependent selectivity behaviour
Reporting outputs
- Panel results tabulated per target
- Selectivity summaries with the panel composition stated
- Comparative activity across molecules
- Explicit list of the targets examined
Fees for this service
Fees are per sample in pounds sterling, excluding VAT, and apply to the methods and scope described on the corresponding service page. Where no fee is listed, the investigation is scoped and quoted after a pre-submission enquiry. Multi-sample series and recurring programmes are priced on request.

Describe the sample and the question.
A pre-submission enquiry establishes analytical suitability, experimental requirements, sample handling and reporting expectations before any material is sent.
