Analytical serviceAnalytical Method Development
Method development establishes the analytical workflow a question requires: whether an approach is suitable for the sample, how its parameters are optimized, and the verification or validation work that demonstrates its performance for the intended use. Validation claims are made only to the extent the studies performed support them.

Method suitability, optimization, verification and validation studies.
Methodology classes
- Method suitability assessment against the analytical objective
- Parameter optimization and robustness evaluation
- Verification studies for established methods
- Validation studies scoped to the intended use
Applicable sample categories
- New or modified peptides requiring a method
- Materials with challenging matrices
- Methods to be transferred or re-established
- Comparative method evaluations
Measurable parameters
- Specificity, linearity, range and precision as scoped
- Accuracy and recovery where applicable
- Robustness to defined parameter changes
- Detection and quantitation limits where required
Reporting outputs
- Method description and operating parameters
- Suitability and optimization records
- Verification or validation summary scoped to the studies performed
- Recommendations for routine use
Fees for this service
Fees are per sample in pounds sterling, excluding VAT, and apply to the methods and scope described on the corresponding service page. Where no fee is listed, the investigation is scoped and quoted after a pre-submission enquiry. Multi-sample series and recurring programmes are priced on request.
| Method development & validation | Fee |
|---|---|
| Method development | £1,673 per day |
| Method validation study — scoped to the intended use | Request a quotation |
| Priority processing — chemistry results within three business days | +25 % of the fee |
Describe the sample and the question.
A pre-submission enquiry establishes analytical suitability, experimental requirements, sample handling and reporting expectations before any material is sent.
